Gidget is a beautiful 3 1/2 year old female IG looking for an experienced IG owner, who lives in a calm and settled environment. When Gidget arrived into rescue she broke one of her front legs. It has taken months for it to heal, but she is now ready to find a forever home. You MUST be willing to give her ample time to adjust and never let her jump on or off the furniture. She needs lots of love and patience for her to be able to trust. It has taken her 7 months with foster family to begin to trust. Gidget seems to prefer women. She needs a forever home with no children or large dogs, but will need another IG or small dog as a companion.

Seeking Family or Single Person to spend long afternoons lounging on the couch, playing with toys in the floor, snuggling up to at night. Must be tolorant of potty issues, will use pee pads on occasion but aim is a little off. You’ll find my devotion endearing, preferring to be as close to you as I can and please, no crating unless feeding, this 11 year old female does not enjoy being treated like a wild savage beast. I play well with other IG’s often surprising them with my zest and zeal. When ready to play or eat, I become quite the talker!
You’ll find me loving, devoted, big eyed, talkative and spirited. My name is Tella…Donna Tella.

Louie is an active, fun loving, vocally quiet, cuddly, very playful, well-adjusted, 11 month old puppy who enjoys curling up in bed or on someone’s lap in the evening. He power naps with gusto, but most of the time he is on the move looking for entertainment, as any puppy would. He loves to go on neighborhood walks and is very compatible with any breed and size dog as he is used to going to the dog park 3x a week and lives with three other playful dogs.
He is a health nut with a healthy appetite. He gets all natural, grain-free food by “Natural Balance” twice a day, and gets homemade holistic dog treats and dehydrated sweet potato chips.
Louie’s only vice is in the potty training department. He does not mark objects indoors, however, has to be closely monitored at all times because he will attempt #2 before you can turn around. Although he is crated at night and for short periods during the day if his owners are out, he still has accidents. We’ve learned that crating him, outdoor frequency, and learned behavior is not the answer. He needs someone completely and utterly devoted to his potty habits, therefore, he wears a belly band 24/7.
Because he is still a puppy learning potty training, he is best suited in a home with a devoted, stay-at-home caretaker and other dogs to play with. Although he likes children, he is better suited for a family with older kids who can handle him with care given the breed size and body structure.

Tommy is a sweet, funny, affectionate smooth coat Saluki boy just emerging from puppyhood. Although a little shy and wary at first, it doesn’t take him long to warm up if allowed to do so at his own pace. Soft voice and hand a must. He crates willingly and well and the crate provides a place of security for him at first. He sleeps in the crate and, for now, is eating in the crate. He is learning the rules of the house and is beginning to signal when he needs to go outside, but he wears a belly band when he is not confined to the family room.
He is quite smart and a fast learner who wants to please. He responds best to calm correction and it is better to snap a leash onto his collar than try to maneuver him by pulling on his collar. He gets a little panicky if he thinks you are angry with him and starts looking for a place to hide or jump to. He is quite athletic.
He gets along well with our two greyhounds and imitates their behavior, especially when it comes to the rituals for getting treats. It is quite likely that he has been in a home. He knows furniture and his favorite place is curled up next to you on the couch or in the big easy chair. He curls up really small. He walks well on leash and seems to know the command “wait” at the door.
He doesn’t seem to play much with toys but loves a big fuzzy sock to throw around and he has moments of exuberant energy. He would probably enjoy a big yard with room to run but will need a TALL fence and frequent supervision, especially at first, just to become familiar with his habitats.
He is a wonderful little boy looking for a family with a little patience to give him time to adjust.

Luna (6 year old female) and Loki (5 year old male) came into rescue as a result of a divorce. They originally came from a breeder and have been together for about 5 years.
Their requirements are pretty simple . . . a couch, a lap and your bed at night! They are accustomed to being crated together but we gate them in our laundry room when we are gone.
They are both very affectionate (and cute as can be) and always close by. Loki will put his face close to yours so you can kiss him! My wish for them is that they can be adopted together. They are never too far from each other, especially Loki. They get along well with our Italian Greyhounds but Loki is afraid of the large dogs. Although he is getting better, I think Loki would prefer a home without any large dogs. They are both good eaters and we are working on the housebreaking.
Won’t you open up your home and heart to them? You won’t be sorry!

He has started to play with squeaky toys this past week for the first time. He’ll shake his head with the toy in his mouth, put it down and pounce on it. He is learning how to share his toys. He often does well with a long toy so Austin can grab the other end and they can have a tug-a-war game.

The best word to describe Zoe and Chloe is “sweet.” These former AKC Show dogs are intelligent, cheerful, well-mannered sisters who have been well-trained, socialized and well-cared for. They are fun, but not high-energy. They are good alert dogs because their bark sounds like a much larger dog. Chloe earned her “Canine Good Citizen” certificate through AKC in 1999 and Zoe received her “Champion” AKC title in 2003. Both were awarded “Champion” status through International Kennel Club in 2001. They came TIGR as an owner surrender.
Chloe is the older sister but is slightly smaller than Zoe at 12 ½ pounds. This girl is Miss Personality. She loves people and is very interested in everything that goes on in the home. She is active and agile seeming more like an IG half her age. She would be great as a therapy dog because she is so affectionate and well-trained. She is also a consummate groomer. She has decided that it is her responsibility to keep herself and the other 4 dogs in her foster home clean and well-groomed. When on walks, she leads Zoe around on their coupler.
Zoe is the younger sister but with a bigger build than Chloe. Her weight is 15 pounds but there is no fat on her. Zoe’s personality is more subtle than Chloe’s but no less loving. She is a cuddle-bug. She loves to stand on her foster mom’s lap and give hugs by putting her little arms on mom’s shoulders. She is also very well-trained. Zoe has cataracts in both eyes and was just diagnosed with Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA) in Nov 2011 but has compensated unbelievably well. She gets around the house and yard without problems. On outings to large open areas such as dog parks, Zoe runs with her head up and legs outstretched. Her hearing is so acute that she is able to hear the location of the other dogs and follow them. She also responds readily to verbal signals her foster mom gives if she is going in the wrong direction or headed for an obstacle.
Chloe & Zoe are AKC Registered and able to compete in AKC events for spayed dogs. They have extensive show, travel experience, and are very welcome while staying in dog friendly hotels and friend’s homes. Both are crated-trained and enjoy having their “place” to recharge their batteries with a snuglybed. They are also trained to quietly allow bathing, their nails dremeled, teeth scaled, and brushed. Both are completely house-trained. They get along with other dogs, cats and children.
The ideal home for Zoe and Chloe is in one with a moderately active lifestyle that allows exploring the backyard, frequent walks car rides, car travel, cozy napping, and lots of love and encouragement from their family. They will give boundless love in return! Anywhere you are, is where they want to be – true companion dogs. Zoe and Chloe have been together their entire lives so need to be adopted together.

Abby is a sweet senior female Iggy with a grey & white coat and blue eyes. She was rescued from an animal shelter just before she was about to be euthanized and she was clearly malnourished and a little skittish when she was rescued. But since coming into foster care, she has flourished. She eats very well (she’s gained over a pound in the past 3 weeks!). She has warmed up to her foster parents and gets along well with her foster “brother” Milo, a younger Iggy who was recently adopted. Abby’s personality is gentle and quiet and she loves to nap on a warm blanket on the sofa near where her “people” are. She is semi-house trained, meaning she will “go” outside regularly if her caregivers take her, but she’s not good about asking to go out. And she tends to have accidents if not taken out every 2-3 hours. We’re working on that. NOTE: Abby is an escape artist. She needs a forever home with really good backyard security OR a home in which her owner always takes her outside on a leash.
